Irish Miles is an independent family business based in Co. Derry, Northern Ireland, led by husband and wife team – Declan and Maeve, who are both actively involved in the business.
Declan and Maeve both graduated from University and pursued corporate careers in construction and life sciences industry. Both developing extensive networks in various sectors across Ireland and further afield.
Having extensively travelled within Ireland and abroad, they both have experienced all aspects of travel – both positive and negative. Through their passion for travel they have explored all 32 counties of Ireland – individually, as a couple and as parents with a young family.
Having taken tours across the world they recognise and appreciate excellent standards of service and understand the importance of tailoring a vacation to suit the needs of all family members, be it small children, grandparents or with friends.
As far back as 1997, when Declan travelled to spend the summer vacation in Brooklyn, New York, he was warmly welcomed by his mother’s cousin. The experience of being shown around New York personally is a vivid memory – encountering many of the world renowned sights and exploring the paths taken by his ancestors who travelled from Ireland to start a new life in USA. Highlighting the importance of the local, friendly and trustworthy guide. This has been reciprocated throughout the years leading to the formation of Irish Miles.

From our own experiences of driving abroad, we understand the stress of complying with different driving regulations; therefore had a vision to offer you the opportunity to experience our beautiful island without the concerns of undertaking the driving of a strange vehicle on unknown roads.
